Google’s recent algorithm update and SEO.
This week, Twitter’s Google SearchLiaison account, which is administrated by company representative Danny Sullivan, revealed a message about updating the main search engine’s algorithm.
The new algorithm was named “Google March 2019 Update” and was introduced on March 12, 2019. According to the Google team, the recommendations for webmasters have remained the same – “There’s no “fix” for pages that may perform less well other than to remain focused on building great content. Over time, it may be that your content may rise relative to other pages”.
In principle, this means only one thing – you need to focus on creating quality content. Thereby, if the positions of your site in the SERP have recently changed, this may be due to updates to the Google’s algorithm, and not innovations to the work of your web resource. Usually Google updates the search algorithm several times per year. The last update of this kind was launched in August 2018. Webmasters called it “Medic Update”, because according to preliminary data, the update mainly affected resources from the “Health” category. Sometimes updates effect a specific topic, for example, medical or financial sites that Google brings together in a large group YMYL (Your Money or Your Life).
